MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be willing and able to work in Lake City, Florida
- Must have a valid Florida driver’s license
- Must be willing and able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be employed with Florida Department of Veterans Affairs
- Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not limited to, a Level II background check and drug test
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of gardening products such as fertilizers and pesticides
- Proficient in using manual and power tools safely
- Must have some Commercial Lawn Care Experience
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The incumbent will be required to perform various grounds maintenance and manual labor to include but not limited to landscaping, trash pickup, moving furniture, loading, and unloading supplies, upkeep of building exterior, parking area and drives.
- Ground maintenance to include mowing, edging, raking and watering lawn
- Collect and haul debris
- Maintain flowerbeds to include weeding and seasonal planting
- Prune trees and shrubs
- Ensure parking area, walkways and driveways are maintained
- Pick up trash
- Assist in the loading and unloading of furniture, equipment and supplies delivered to the facility
- Other related duties as required by supervisor
