The Work You Will Do:
Technical Analyst I for the Office of Information Technology
The position is responsible for managing and maintaining SharePoint environments, providing user support, and ensuring optimal performance. This involves performing regular site audits, resolving incidents related to SharePoint functionality, permissions, and access control, and developing and maintaining SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, workflows, and other components. Additionally, the role includes providing basic support and troubleshooting for Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. This involves assisting users with simple applications, automated workflows, and dashboards, and maintaining documentation for Power Platform solutions.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain SharePoint Online and/or On-Premises environments. Provide user support and resolve incidents related to SharePoint functionality, permissions, and access control. Perform regular site audits, monitor usage, and ensure optimal performance. Develop and maintain SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, workflows, and other components. Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported through tickets within established SLAs. Monitors Service Desk queue and resolves support tickets as assigned. Documents work performed and resolution(s). Identify, analyze and resolve problems and issues through the use of troubleshooting tools and techniques as well as teamwork. Provide high level of customer service by providing status and information to the customer. Monitor SharePoint and Power Platform environments using available tools to ensure uptime and performance. Generate reports on usage, issues, and ticket resolutions. Identify and escalate recurring issues for further analysis and resolution.
Provide basic support and troubleshooting for Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. Assist users with simple applications, automated workflows, and dashboards. Collaborate with end-users to understand requirements and recommend appropriate Power Platform solutions. Maintain documentation for Power Platform solutions, including design documents, user guides, and troubleshooting guides.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide technical expertise. Provide guidance to users on best practices for SharePoint and Power Platform. Conduct training sessions and create knowledge base articles for common user issues. Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration with other enterprise systems. Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to developing best practices. Recommend enhancements to improve functionality, efficiency, and user experience. Stay current with updates and new features in SharePoint and Power Platform.
The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Knowledge of SharePoint Online and/or On-Premises administration, including site management, permissions, and content management. Knowledge of supporting Power Platform applications, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. Knowledge of Microsoft products, including Office 365, OneDrive, and Teams, in an enterprise environment. Knowledge of IT service management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) for ticket management and incident resolution. Knowledge of basic network concepts and web-based application troubleshooting. Knowledge of creating and maintaining user guides, technical documentation, and knowledge base articles. Knowledge of governance and compliance best practices within SharePoint and Power Platform environments.
Skills in:
- Skilled in providing technical support for SharePoint and Power Platform-related issues. Skills in diagnosing and resolving technical issues using analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to:
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system, application, and integration issues. Ability to plan, organize, manage, and track multiple projects and initiatives. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support solutions. Ability to manage competing priorities. Ability to pursue training and certifications to enhance skills and stay informed of emerging trends.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Five years of experience in computer systems analysis, computer programming or in planning or designing distributed computer systems. Post-secondary education may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. The incumbent of this position may be physically located in Central Office or a District Headquarters Office.
