Starting annual salary will fall within the range of $58,000 - $60,000
Paid Bi-Weekly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- At least one (1) year of current or very recent (within the last 12 months) human resources experience, preferably with the State of Florida.
- At least one (1) year of current or very recent experience (within the last 12 months) working in People First as a supervisor or HR user (A, B, C, H, K, M, R, T or U).
- At least one (1) year of oversight of human resource processes and/or functional areas, preferably involving some staff development & training and/or supervision and management of staff.
- At least one (1) year of experience with State of Florida Official Personnel Files and records retention schedules.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Human Services or related field (experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis provided the experience is directly related.)
- At least two (2) years of experience working with Microsoft Office at an inmtermediate level in a work environment.
- Successful completion of Level 2 background screening and due diligence process.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- SHRM or equivalent certification as an HR Professional (certification must be current for consideration).
- HR certificate or graduate level work and/or degree.
- Certification as a trainer or staff development professional (college or university certificate; ITW; ATD; CPT; etc. or SHRM or HRCI).
- Experience working with training systems, especially Learning Management Systems (LMS), or a willingness to learn.
- Experience working in People First as an HR super user (H role code or above).
- Experience working in multiple HR functional areas, especially Employment Verifications; Subpoenas; Public Records Requests; Attendance & Leave; Benefits; Onboarding; Recruitment & Selection; and Payroll.
- Experience working with proxy rights in multiple sections within People First.
- Experience working with Florida Statutes related to employment, especially Chapters 22, 110, 112, 119, 121, 435, 440, 447, 448, 760 and all Florida Administrative Code Personnel Rules (60L series).
- Management or supervisory experience working directly in State of Florida Human Resources. This includes providing oversight of locations and/or functional areas.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
This is a professional, confidential supervisory position that provides supervision, training and professional support duties specific to the functions of a state agency human resources office. Incumbent will serve as a member of the FDVA HR Management Team. This position also provides direction, training and support to the FDVA Human Resources Field Offices in various locations through the state.
- FDVA Official Personnel File Supervisor for current and termed employees. Includes file review and coordinating, training and providing technical assistance to the HR Technicians in compiling required documentation and assisting the PT III in maintaining appropriate files, data and public records. Backs up the Personnel Services Specialist positions and assists the HR Manager with all required HR duties and responsibilities.
- FDVA Reports and Documentation Specialist Supervisor for current and termed employees. Includes processing alerts, filing, review and coordinating with the HR technicians in compiling required reports and documentation, and supervising the Personnel Technician III and Personnel Services Specialists in maintaining appropriate files, data and public records.
- Responsible for supervising and assisting with compiling, reviewing, responding and assisting in the responses to subpoenas, record requests, legal requests, documentation requests, and public records requests for the Bureau of Human Resources.
- FDVA Directory and People First Specialist Supervisor for reports, contact lists, information requests, searches, queries, and data tasks as needed.
- Agency Training Specialist for the FDVA photo ID badge system, access security badges, and DMS parking tag programs. Enters and deletes payroll deductions as needed into People First.
- Assists with assigning Attendance and Leave, Payroll, Classification, Organizational Management and other related HR duties and responsibilities to the Specialist team as needed.
- Responsible for supervising employment and unemployment verification requirements and responses and employment reference requests. Responsible for the supervision of tracking record retention schedules for HR files and coordinating the FDVA Sick Leave Pool Program under the direction of the HRO.
- Assists, coordinates, and helps plan the training and staff development activities administered through Human Resources for the agency.
- Administers and coordinates training through the Learning Management System in the People First Human Resource Information System.
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for the People First Human Resource Information System for Human Resources and provides oversight, training and technical assistance for all personnel.
