Your Specific Responsibilities:
Manage, maintain, and optimize the ServiceNow platform. Provide enterprise technical analysis to support enterprise architecture goals through collaboration with management, developers, and architects. Install, configure, and upgrade the ServiceNow platform and its modules. Create and maintain forms, workflows, and business rules, and perform system health checks and performance optimization. Manage ServiceNow instances across development, test, and production environments, and implement ServiceNow Updates and patches. Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems (email, AD/LDAP, monitoring tools, etc.). Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and notifications.
Maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance. Provide support for ServiceNow-related issues. Evaluate new ServiceNow features and modules for potential implementation. Participate in roadmap planning for ServiceNow capabilities. Manage service catalogs and request fulfillment processes. Manage data imports, exports, and migrations. Troubleshoot workflow, script, and integration issues, and analyze logs to identify and resolve system errors. Monitor system performance and address bottlenecks.
Document ServiceNow system configurations and customizations. Participate in documenting and reviewing Office of Information Technology (OIT) policies, procedures, and standards. Communicate system changes and updates to stakeholders.
The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework. Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of business and systems analysis, system development and maintenance life cycles.
Skills in:
- Skilled in the use of multiple development technologies including JavaScript, REST, XML, JSON, HTML, and CSS. Skill with Microsoft SQL and other Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS). Skill in using development tools, understanding and following system architecture models, including cloud-based components and sub-components.
Ability to:
- Ability to facilitate groups of stakeholders to develop business and systems requirements and other analysis deliverables related to the maintenance or development of computer systems. Ability to prepare and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Ability to relate to customers’ needs and perform duties in a service-oriented manner. Ability to interpret and communicate technical information both verbally and in writing. Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and prioritize work assignments. Ability to develop and manage information systems documentation in accordance with the department’s standards. Ability to analyze processes and workflows to design efficient information solutions. Ability to use highly technical workflow diagramming software tools and techniques.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Six years of experience in computer systems analysis, computer programming or in planning or designing distributed computer systems. Post-secondary education may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
