SPECIAL NOTES:
Four (4) years professional experience in an office setting is required. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience.
Preferences:
- Certified Project Management Professional.
- Florida government experience.
- Strong writing and communication skills.

Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing using appropriate English grammar. Competent public speaking skills. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Knowledge of Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) accounting operations and processes. Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles, theory, and concepts. Knowledge of computer systems concepts. Ability to research and interpret accounting literature, rules, and pronouncements. Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data. Ability to understand functional specifications for technical accounting applications. Ability to work independently. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This position has responsibilities involving procedures adopted by the Department and Division. The procedures are part of the internal control structure used to provide reasonable assurance that objectives are met.
Responsible for the management of the Division project schedule which includes monitoring late tasks and recommending corrective actions to avoid project delays.
Supports project implementation within the Division. Validates that projects/division initiatives are completed on-time, within scope, and produce quality results using project management methodology. Prepares project related reports on overall project performance, including project resources. Identifies Risks, Issues, Action Items, Decisions, and Lessons Learned (RAIDL). Facilitates project related meetings, prepares meeting minutes, and distributes information to project stakeholders.
Serves as Business Analyst for assigned projects. Collaborates with process owners to document and define business functions, change requirements, and current operational procedures. Researches and completes data analysis. Uses information gathered to develop fact-based decisions and implementation plans as it relates to project assignments.
Serves as a Change Agent for assigned projects. Assists with workshop preparation and survey creation to gather information from stakeholders on current practices and proposed new processes. Collaborates with the process owner to address change impacts. Develops communications for the implementation of new requirements and standards.
