SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This professional accounting position is responsible for the following duties:
- Ensure compliance with state laws, department procedures, HIPAA, and other fiscal standards for accurate and timely payments.
- Verify and process financial entries using systems like Ariba on Demand, FLAIR, BARS, and Axiom Pro.
- Audit invoices for accuracy and proper authorization, and correct any errors or missing information.
- Maintain and organize automated files and reports, and keep invoice folders updated.
- Provide accounting support to staff, vendors, and auditors, and participate in year-end closing activities and special projects

- Recently Retired? REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or its equivalent and two (2) or more years of experience in administrative work, accounting or auditing experience. Postsecondary education may substitute on a year-for-year bases for the required experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience utilizing MFMP and/or any other State of Florida accounts payable system.
