JOB SUMMARY: Join the Office of Workforce Management (OWM) at the Florida Department of Revenue as a Human Resource Professional specializing in Performance Management and Classification. In this confidential role, you will play a key part in supporting personnel and classification actions, ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures, and maintaining accurate records in the People First system. You will also serve as a subject matter expert on performance management, guiding staff and supervisors through the evaluation process and helping maintain accountability across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process classification and personnel actions accurately and in a timely manner using the People First HR system.
- Review and coordinate action requests with supervisors and HR liaisons to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Monitor and track performance management activities, including timely completion of plans and evaluations.
- Provide verbal and written guidance to employees and managers on performance-related procedures.
- Compile and distribute reports; analyze and interpret HR data to support departmental goals.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
- At least one year of professional experience in Human Resources in an Agency HR Office.
- Experience working with a Human Resource Information System (HRIS) such as People First, PeopleSoft, ADP, etc.
- One year of experience interpreting and applying rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and respond to written and verbal communications.
- Experience compiling, organizing, and distributing reports and HR data.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
PREFERENCES:
- Experience with performance management planning and evaluation processes.
- Proficiency in processing personnel and compensation actions within People First.
- Familiarity with processing job classification actions in People First.
- Knowledge of human resource principles and practices.
- Understanding of the job classification process.
- Knowledge of State of Florida Personnel Rules.
SALARY: $49,440.00
