ROPES TECHNICIAN - MULTIPLE SHIFTS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate and develop safe ropes access solutions in new and changing environments
- Manage communication, equipment integrity, and process guidelines required for safe ropes access operations.
- Climb in a variety of environmental conditions to set up ropes access for teammate.
- Haul team members and equipment using a variety of ropes access configurations.
- Operate within and enforce SPRAT and IRATA guidelines.
- Train team members proper use of Ropes Access solutions.
- Develop rigging for large assemblies
- Work at heights on temporary or permanent work access solutions
- Operate personnel platforms (boom lifts, scissor lifts, etc.)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
- Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
- Collaborate with engineers to develop work access solutions
- Ensure all production services are performed on time, safely and in a professional manner
- Support heavy transport or crane operations when not supporting ropes access duties.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 1+ years of experience on a critical lift team or a logistics/transport team
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- IRATA or SPRAT Ropes Access Level 3 Certification
- Perform mechanical or welding work on gas, electrical and secondary structures systems when not performing ropes access duties
- Experience in the aerospace industry, aviation, military, oil & gas, or other high-reliability operating environment
- Knowledge of pressure, temperature and flow measurement devices, mechanical and electrical systems
- Skill in operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments
- Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
- Proficient with computers and the ability to use MS Office
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs unassisted
- Willing to travel up to 25%
- Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
- Willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Level 1: $30.00/hour
Level 2: $34.00/hour
Level 3: $38.00/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
